I will be building a secure portable communications device.

The device will boot into a prebuilt Linux OS Distro, and have the option of annonymous communications through the TOR network.
Upon booting, the device will have the option to connect through an available internet access point.
The user will have the option of configuring this through the small touchscreen display.

Once conencted to a network, the user has the option to select anonymous communications through the TOR network or to set-up VPN connections.
Access to the device will be through WIFI or direct connection.  Meaning that all of the users traffic can be diverted over the required network.

ACL can be configured to restrict access, along with passwords and usernames.
System monitoring will be visible on the touchscreen with a variety of modes available to the user, such as.
Clients connected, Firewall, Network status etc.

The same device can also be switched into Mesh Networking mode with a simple change of card.
Upon booting the device will become a Mesh Network node with options selectable through the touch screen.
Attaching the device to a Broadband Hamnet router will allow communications over extreemly large distances.

The purpose is to create a device capable of contious communications in areas lacking internet.
Allowing data sharing, VOIP and other communication service.

Configuaration options will allow the user to run services such as personal web servers / ftp servers
in order to collect, share and consolidate data.

The device can be used by communities, in disaster zones, at events, or protests.
The device will be built to become a modular system, expandable with the intent of becoming portable swiss army knife of communications.

Yeah, it`s a pretty interesting project But do you think something about an audit? A not long time ago I found an article about Smart Contract Audit and it seems peaty interesting. You should think about implementing blockchain practices in your project
