Trying to send some data(string) using UART of Orange pi pc plus..?

hello,

I am having Orange pi pc plus , trying to read UART pins  getting error message that "You dont have read/write permission".
So what I have to do to get read/write permission.

How exactly are you trying to access UART? To access UART with Linux, the user under which the process is running must belong to the dialout group so that might be a good starting point. The command to add some user to the dialout group is:

1. gpasswd -a user_name dialout

Passing string of data to rx pin of UART and want to read this rx pin using android application, but facing issues.
according to your reply run the command but it gives "gpasswd not found".

I am not sure how exactly Android application interacts with Linux kernel. Instead of gpasswd you can try usermod -aG dialout user_name but you have to be careful to use rhe right switch as explained here. Because with the wrong usermod command you could remove the user from the groups it already belongs to. But you might first try the setenforce command as shown in this article.

I am also interested in RS232 communication using Orange Pi PC + Android but still did not have time to try if it works.
