OPI-ONE  and OPI-Lite are smaller version of the popular OPI-PC which will use a 512MB memory SamSung chip, and the same Allwinner H3 SoC.
Interfaces include USB host and one MicroUSB, HDMI, CSI, GPIO, TF card slot.
12 bucks OPI-Lite has two USB ports and a wifi module.
9.99 bucks OPI-Lite has one USB port and ethernet but no wifi module.
USB ports shrinks from 3 to one or two, but a microUSB port is reserved. It will sell for 9.99 dollars, even cheaper than OPI-PC.
It is 3/4 of a credit card size with the same 4K playback H3 SoC. Here are some photos.
OPI-One shows below.

OPI-Lite has two USB ports, the case shows below.

This looks very interesting - but will it get more support than the Orange Pi PC.  Despite several attempts and many installations, I do not know ANYONE who has managed to get an Orange PI PC working with Debian and serial, sound and GPIO all working - the kind of things you would take for granted on a Raspberry Pi. Even today the website has old versions of software which simply don't work.

Has anything changed to make us want to buy these new products? Indeed will anyone from the company respond because all attempts up to now have failed.

A few questions/suggestions:

  • which Wi-Fi module is used on the Lite?
  • can DC-IN be supplied through GPIO pins 2/4/6 as with the PC?
  • in case the camera module also needs the expansion board like the PC, please think about selling it as a different module for PC/One/Lite so that users can pick the right version when ordering
  • Is the micro USB port routed to one of H3's host ports or the OTG port? In case it's OTG... why?
  • Is the power scheme comparable/identical to the OPi PC? Do you still use the SY8106A voltage regulator and other components?
  • When do you release schematics of the boards?

That looks really cool, except for the 512MB ram. But i guess you guys have to cut somewhere.

Hopefully even cheaper version like Orange Pi Zero comes out... H3, 512MB of ram and only hdmi/microusb.... Doable for ~5-7$ ?

Sorry for doubleposting. Next thing I'm waiting for would be Orange PI PC Plus. With Gigabit ethernet PHY and(optional) 2GB of RAM.
