Installing Debian server on orangepi mini 2

Hi all,

I've got an orangepi mini 2, and I want to install Debian server on it. I've tried to using the image located here, and following the instructions for windows from here.
The installation goes well, but when I boot it up and plug it into my home network, the device doesn't show up. The orange and green lights on the LAN port don't blink or anything, nor does the light on my router.
I also tried hooking it up to my tv, to see if it gives any signal on the HDMI port, but it doesn't. I used the same method to install Lubuntu, which worked like a charm.

So am I doing something wrong with the installation, or do I need to access it in some other way than with the LAN port?
