For a moment I thought I made a wrong decision ordering the orangepi given how scarce are the tutorials online, and me being a complete noob in Linux. The first few tries installing Debian and Ubuntu Focal server didn't work well. Kept getting errors when running the apt update command. Then flashed Ubuntu Bionic sever and ran the pihole installation command on their website, and boom. It worked! It was set up and configured with the router in less than 5 minutes! I have it powered through the USB output on the router & connected through ethernet. Given the price of OrangePi Zero2 (1Gb), compared to raspberry 4b, I'd say it's amazing for just a pihole setup!
