installed X1 firmware on opi-pc, at first...good image...runs smooth..till zidoo step in with the illegal authorization.
freezings...flimmerings....and slows down.
only one usb port working...
can not say that the opi gets specially hot, more like each other FW...
no firewall really works, specially if reboot...
would be worth to modify this FW..

Hi sky,

I find it strange that you ran into this issue after a while considering you didn't do any updates on the firmware... My bet is there is some configuration mistake.

I don't have zidoo installed and I've only tried out the Debian Jessy OS but if I could bet, I'd say that there is some attempt from the device itself to reach the internet and validate if it is running in proprietary hardware. Hence, you should be good if you set iptables to block traffic both ways. This would just be a test, considering it will prevent you from accessing the Internet.

Give it a try and then come back and spread the news.

Also, use the Reddit forums, I've found them a lot richer in information than this forum: https://www.reddit.com/r/OrangePI/

I've tried it and it works. Try to start Android with network disabled, then after start enable network.

very strange, i burned the image new on sd card, lan off...boot.....message pops up....illegal authorization...
must be the firmware itself who checks the hardware..firmware should be decompiled to find this check hardware from zidoo..
