I have my board and I have verified that it works minus the cell connection. I had to order a new SIM card to test the cell connection. I have also verified that the Android source builds.
Can you post the schematics for it so that I can figure out what the pin header does? I also need to see how the display is wired up.

Also - the image it comes with uses an odd 720P HDMI mode that a lot of monitors don't support. Only one of my four monitors will work with it. I see complaints about this in the forum. The hardware appears to support 1080P output. I would suggest changing the default HDMI output over to 1080P which is supported by more monitors.

When is the promised Android 8 support coming? I don't want to waste time working on this Android 6 if Android 8 is coming soon.

OrangePI people need to put up new firmware with HDMI 1080P60 enabled by default. The hardware can do 1080P, I just don't know enough about the software to try and change it.  The board is currently putting out something weird like 720P48 which is why many monitors can't sync to it.. My none of my cheap ones work. I think this more expensive Samsung one supports FreeSync which lets it sync to the odd refresh rate.

BTW, you'd be much better off with an H3 or H6 board for just making a TV box with a camera. This 4G IOT board just shipped and it will be months before the software is sorted out. This is definitely not a board for beginners.

I was so exited about the board because its my FIRST one. Wanted to make a lot of stuff with it but as far as I can see, there are just problems. I may reconsider starting with different one...What about the linux support, where are we?

Hello, I have this board and I'm not a real developer and I do not want to build a spaceship. My dream is simple - making android TV box with a camera. But for now I can not even transfer image to the card, on my Windows 10 laptop I can see USB MTP device, which is not functioning correctly. I tried to install the supplied drivers and failed because there is a trojan virus inside of a package. Ok, I managed to find MTK 6737 drivers, but they can not be installed even in test mode. What am I doing wrong, please help.

Finally, I managed to flash it! All I needed to do that was my old Thinkpad x40 laptop with Windows XP - only then I managed to flash after the third attempt. To find out my displays do not support video output of that card! What a hell!
Is there any way I could use normal resolution? I can't find suitable display or TV.

Oh, man! Where have you been with your advice 30 days ago? Too late, have to stick with it now.. Besides, I might make it 4G hotspot for my country house with a camera to observe the yard.. I guess..

Hi, I am thinking in using this board as a permanent device connected to my cars headunit with AndroidAuto.
I am interested to know how this board works with the android image provided and I have some questions for those that own it:
- is it overheating?
- how is the strength of 3G/4G and GPS signal with the rpovided antennas?
- is the USB Device connection working? It seems available on one of the USB ports (not the micro USB)
- google services are working?

Thanks in advance !

Hi Guys,
I've just got the 4G-IOT board and I also got a nice LiPo 3.7V battery. I would like to hook it up, but I have a bit of a doubt... the board has 3 pin ("+", "BAT", "-") has anyone figure it out? (the battery has + and - cables...) so is the "BAT" pad needed?
