I am so excited that OPi+2E is back in stock. I want to order several so that I can build a small cluster and do all sorts of other experiments with it. It's my favorite Orange Pi.
But I am very reluctant to order the restocked +2E because of the example terrible of the new OPi Zero (rev. 1.4). See http://www.orangepi.org/orangepi ... thread&tid=2759 for example.
How do I know that the new OPi+2E boards are the same as the old ones? What if I buy one and then I discover it's a new revision with different components or circuitry? I want the classic +2E, not some strange new revision that is worse.
In summary, the problems with the new OPi Zero boards, i.e., unannounced changes that are causing serious overheating problems for many people, makes me worried about buying any more boards from Xunlong. Has anybody actually tried the new +2E and verified that it is, in fact, exactly the same as the classic one?
