How to fix overheating differently than a fan? There may also be hardware modification. In my case with small heatsink, temperature is over 67°C, with much bigger heatsink 56°C, with added fan (to big heatsink) temperature is not under 36°C. These temperatures are in idle state, nothing is run except basic Armbian and Zero is out of box. If i close Zero to box, then temperature with small heatsink is over 75°C. Bigger heatsink's not fit into the box. It's unusable. I don't want to use Zero without box and with fan too. There is must be any solution...

edit: is anywhere schematic for version 1.4?

Is there solution to make OrangePi Zero less suicidally hot? I have version 1.4 with heatsink and it is in 68°C .

I'm sorry but this is a terrible workaround.  OPi Zero is supposed to be the simplest baseline reference board for Allwinner.  Talking about heatsinks, fans, and now water cooling is just ridiculous.  The board is clearly a mistake and you are making excuses for it.

I'm also sorry  - you didn't get the joke

I'm in no way producing excuses - and why should I? I'm merely warning other users of the problem...
I already have thrown away the v1.4 board in a drawer - it is useless.
But I still use v1.1 ones, two of them as they are, one of them with active cooling (it is in a closed space which can get hot in summers).

Looking at armbian forum - are all v1.4 boards that *hot* or this is changed by some kernel drivers and/or hardware changes (v1.5?).

And if all the v1.4 boards are so hot are there any plans to make v1.5 that will fix those high temperature issues? I would like to buy few new OPi0, but what I read here and at armbian forum I think I don't want to waste money on additional fans (not to mention that fan == noise). So, dear Shenzhen Xunlong, please listen to your clients and if there's something wrong, just do something. At least say something. The worst option is to walk away from dissapointed clients as they will get angry for being ignored.
