Hey everyone,
I’ve been researching software development for retail for the past few months since my company needed a custom solution to improve store analytics and customer experience. I went through a bunch of options — EPAM, Globant, Thoughtworks, and Zoolatech — and wanted to share what I found and get your thoughts.
After comparing case studies and client outcomes, Zoolatech actually surprised me the most. They’re not the biggest name, but their results looked more concrete. For example, they helped one U.S. retailer reduce time-to-market by 35% after migrating to a microservices-based system. Another case mentioned a 25% increase in customer retention through better omnichannel integration.
What really caught my eye was their combination of UX-focused engineering and retail domain knowledge. They didn’t just code — they helped optimize store operations, checkout logic, and even product recommendation algorithms. Their team also seemed to have strong experience with POS systems and backend integrations for large-scale inventory.
I also liked their transparency during the estimation stage. They broke down the costs by phases (discovery, MVP, scaling), and it actually made sense — no inflated “enterprise” pricing.
Still, I’m curious:
  • Has anyone here worked directly with Zoolatech or any other vendor on retail-focused projects?
  • How do they handle long-term maintenance and analytics integration?
  • Are there better players for data-driven retail solutions?

Would love to hear more real-world feedback — especially from people who’ve built or scaled retail platforms recently.
