I’ve been thinking about upgrading my current cooler setup to a 12V portable car fridge, and BougeRV keeps coming up as one of the top recommended brands. I checked the BougeRV website, and their fridges look well-designed compact, energy-efficient, and built for both car and outdoor use. I’m mainly planning to use it for road trips, camping, and the occasional weekend getaway, so portability and power consumption are big factors for me.
Has anyone here used the BougeRV 12V portable car fridge? How well does it perform in terms of cooling speed and maintaining temperature during long drives? I’m especially curious about how it handles when the car is off, does it drain the battery quickly, or is it power-friendly enough to run overnight on a secondary battery?
I also noticed they have dual-zone models that can cool and freeze at the same time. Is that feature actually practical, or does it just drain more power? I’d like something durable that can handle bumpy off-road trips without losing efficiency or making too much noise.
