Orangepi won't boot from other SD distros

New to Orangepi. Have the model 5B. Downloaded Debian from OP site, installed on SD card. Worked pefectly. Moved SD card to eMMC, seemed to go fine. However, it wont boot without the SD card, and when I try to boot other distros from OP site using another SD card, it wont boot at all. I have no idea where to go from here. Would appreciate any help.

Discovered that the SD i was using for other distros was not compatible with the Orange Pi
