Hello.

I try use I2C display with OpenELEC, but I have trouble. Please help me.
I compile OpenELEC with I2C support. Connect 1602 display with I2C adapter, install LCDProc plugin in Kodi, config LCDd.conf. In config I change "Driver" on "hd44780", change "Port" and change "Device" on "/dev/i2c-0". But display not work. I see only unreadable characters and display all the time blinks.

My LCDd.conf file: http://pastebin.com/ivbcyEvD and my LCD.xml file: http://pastebin.com/ytnQ1rJS

I record video: https://yadi.sk/i/Ya24x0_1oaDsh Sorry for the bad quality.

Sorry for my bad english.

Thank you!

I also do not know. Kodi supports display HD44780 but plugged directly into gpio - https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=15967
Probably to work after i2c need to adapt the addition.

I think problem with lcdproc software.

The below patch is not yet made into the lcdproc mainline yet. This patch allow pcf8754 pin reassignments easily using conf file itself.

https://github.com/wilberforce/lcdproc

Meanwhile what you can do is import those changes into your workspace, generate a patch and send it to Jernej so that he can add that to git repo.

Later when a new verison of lcdproc is released with this patch we can just upgrade the lcdproc version and remove this patch.
