All my thoughts are in 216#
This version is for 5+ only. Rick was asked to make versions for the other boards, but yet no answer.
You can ask LoveKillers for the contacts.
Here is the description of the rom. HEVC should work, but for me it doesn't:
- Better launchers for Homescreen
Android TV (no login required, adjustable)
Google TV (login required, not adjustable)
- MAJOR increase in CPU and GFX performance
2/3x CPU speed compared to stock ROM
1.5x OpenGL speed increase
- Smooth playback 4k 60/120Fps YT video's
- All video playback using HW acceleration
for videofiles and IPTV streams
- RK3588 OpenGL/Vulkan Driver can reach
30fps in demanding Android games
- Future updates can be done using Magisk
No need to re-flash and loose data
Updating the Rockchip HW video decoders did wonders for AV1 and HEVC videofiles playback.
However, it broke VP9 60fps playback of Youtube videos. This can't be fixed.....yet
You can use a workaround (not ideal) for seamless playback in SmartTube:
Goto Settings-> Player->Video Presets-> set to 2K 60fps VP9+HDR. This of course, limits playback to 2K for all YT streams. But, it seems just as sharp as 4K to me.
You can also use the 4K 2160p 60fps AV01+HDR. This doesn't work for all streams but most VP9 encoded streams will use the AV01 decoder
Note: Ordinary video files encoded with VP9 @60fps will play just fine
First SVPlayer version for Android TV has been released. Available on 4pda. |
