Happy camper.

OPI PC, Fedora-22 via Mega,  Installed LAMP.  Then: http://zmrepo.zoneminder.com/
Followed the instructions.  Had problems with streaming.  Had to copy ZM's 2 cgis (zms) to
/var/www/cgi-bin/zm/.

I connected an IP camera and a USB camera and my load is running 0.5 or less.
Bug

This was the load while recording or while idle?  Either way, thanks for sharing.  I would love to try and setup ZM on a OPI-PC.  Good deal!

Just thinking about it though...If you are not going to stream video for live monitoring, and you were just wanting to record via motion detect or 24/7....you would be better off using "motion".  Very lightweight yet very customizable.  You should be able to set up quite a few cameras for recording with it.  Just a thought.  There are many YouTube videos on configuring and setup.  Again, very lightweight on a Linux setup.

I tried to get the OPI camera to work: with fswebcam, yes.  with motion, yes.  with ZM .  But then it just might be a config problem IE: if the camera is 641x380 and you enter 640x380, no-go.  Not big loss as the module res isn't all that great - as a Skype cam...  So anyhow, I have a pair of 352x288 Venus USB cams and a Axis 210 IP set up and my Xload is:

I have a pair of 12meg usb cams in the mail.

The orig OPi cam I tried:
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Orange-Pi-Cameras/32255931892.html  included I/F board and 6" flat cable
Zoneminder would never connect up - "Failed to set video format: Operation not permitted"
Not PAL, not NTSC, not SECAM.  Couldn't find any thing - maybe later

the above image:
Z-Star Microelectronics Corp. Venus USB2.0 Camera specs

Hope that covers your question.

Did anyone try to install and run ZoneMinder with loboris's Ubuntu Vivid Mate? Were you successful, in particular with capturing H264 RTSP streams from IP Cams on Orange PI PC?

Hi all, I installed zoneminder of orangepiPC and everything works. The only problem is that after a variable time status Zoneminder changes from active to inactive and does not record anything. I start again and it works for a few minutes, then turn off again. It 'may have a power problem? Thanks and sorry for my english

A breve aggiungerò altre.
