Orangepi pc - no video

Hi All,

I recently received my Orangepi - pc.
After writing the debian image to sd (from desktop debian) i booted the device.
Unfortunately nothing happend... I tried several images according the intructions provided on this forum.
Finally i connected the uart and booted again. In putty i saw that the device was booting ok!
So, it seems that my monitor is not recognized by the hdmi port.
It's a samsung syncmaster 730. I need a screen resolution of 1280X1024.

I also own a A10 based olimex board, it had problems too recognizing the monitor,
but i fixed those creating a boot.scr overriding the kernel command line.
I used these commands in the file:

1. setenv bootargs hdmi.audio=EDID:0 disp.screen0_output_mode=EDID:1280x1024p60

I created a image for the Orangepi too, but Uboot does not opens this file....
Is the support for the boot.scr and uEnv.txt disabled?

Is there any other way to override the setting provided in the images?

I don't mind creating my own image, but the instructions in the wiki do not seem to apply to the orangepi pc (not in board support package)
So if somebody can point me in the right directions, this will also be appreciated.

I have the same problem with my benq-monitor. I have no video.
With: cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/modes you can see the possible video modes.

It seems that its necessary to build a new script.bin.
Unfortunately, I have no idea, how this is done.

for those searching for a simple solution: use a cheap hdmi to vga converter. Those devices don't have any problems with hdmi audio. I now got video, but not my optimal resolution yet. for the time being I'm satisfied.

I also have no video on my OPI PC, but I have full HD monitor. I followed instructions and renamed precompiled script.bin for expected settings from FAT partition on freshly burnt SD-card. But even then screen is not being initialized. In other thread some guys say that this could be because of  HDMI-DVI cable. But it works perfectly with laptop and Raspberry Pi. Any suggestions?

in script.bin this line "hdmi.audio=EDID:0 " should help. it turns off hdmi audio, some monitors get confused by the hdmi audio stream.

The type of display apperas to be cause of the problem with the inability to see the booting up. My  Orange Pi PC  ( Debian) displays correctly on Asus monitor (Model: ASUS VH242) and not on Sony TV (Bravia :KDL40V4000).
Raspberry Pi2 is OK  on both of those displays.  
So , if possible, try a different display before giving up on Orange Pi PC . Anyway, for me, as they are used 'head less', the display is needed only during the initial setup.

Unfortunately I intended it for use as media center and I have no other monitor. The worse thing is that the device is booting and I can't use that is serial console. But it never inits the screen.
