Cant initiate with Orange PI

Newbie here.

I have jsut acquired the OrangePI 4 LTS. Notice it came with some version of Android. I used windows and mac to flash a brand new sd card with linux distro. I tried debian, armbian and ubutu.
After flash, inserted the sd on to OPI it never runs the OS. Is there anything I should do first in order to make the OPi botto from the sd ?

My Pi hasnt come with power supply but I am using a 4A usb-c. Enough? Starting a ubuntu machine on WM windows and will try your suggestion.

Oh, ok.

I have tried dozens of versions, sources and tutorials. None of them make the opi boot from sd card. Any other guess?
