Orange PI Plus only showing 3 CPU's

All,
I was wondering if anyone else has ran into the issue where only 3 out of the 4 processors are showing up with the OS. Currently Im running Ubuntu Mate Desktop and System only shows 3 CPUs. That's 1, 2, & 3 -- No Zero and no #4 CPU being acknowledged

If anyone has a of knows of a fix please post - I have several other people within my group with the same issue. Other than that, everything is working fine and it's pretty fast compared my old raspberry pi 2

That's due to moronic dvfs settings every OS image for the H3 based Orange Pi ships with. The SoC will be overvolted insanely and then a kernel driver starts to shut CPU cores down.

Can be easily avoided but here in this overclocker camp this seems to be a bad idea. Everyone tries to fry the chip even when doing nothing only to discuss the best heatsink and fan strategy possible

ok - I think I understand what is trying to be conveyed - The feq and volt are incorrect from factory causing the issue. Other than manual intervention is there a fix, or better OS that will correct this / or is it a file  that needs to be changed. A little new to these types of configuration in regards to overclock etc.. Forgive.

I spent a lot of time trying to create a dvfs table that works both reliable (no undervolting) and stops overheating (no more overvolting). I've 2 settings: one for headless systems (this is where the OPi PC can really shine: as a cheap underclocked controller somewhere) and one for 'normal useage' with display and so on.

You find several threads in the Debian forum. But feedback was so scarce that I can not recommend applying the settings that work here flawlessly. At least my 2 OPi PC have not a single temperature problem any more (one not even wearing a heatsink)

The behaviour that CPU cores were shut down when overheating occured (due to counterproductive adjustment of thermal trigger values) should've been fixed already when you use loboris' settings (seems to me only the original Xunlong settings were that broken). Unfortunately his settings regarding dvfs table are still overvolted to be able to overclock. But I hope that this stuff gets fixed rather sooner than later.

That's a TV stick based on H3. Without fan and without heatsink. The thermal problems H3 users here suffer from are simply self-inflicted by the manufacturer.
