sending IR signal codes from orange pi lite/pc plus ( android )

Hi I am trying to make a univeral remote control using orange pi pc plus. I have tried to generate the IR signal using the gpio control from android app  but the 38 khz(approx 26 microseconds) frequency looks impossible to attain using this method. Could any one please direct me towards the best approach to send a ir signal code from orange pi pc plus ?

There is also this ir blaster from 3.5 mm audio jack technique that people are using on android phones  to generate IR signal, will it work on orange pi pc plus?

First, make sure you have a connection circuit like attached (you can use any other popular NPN transistor like BC546):
