OPI PC+ and audio

I finally got Armbian 5.25 which gave me wifi and decided to try out some audio programs. I downloaded
Jack, Amsynth, Jack keyboard, Yoshimi, and QJackctl to try out.  I have all of them working.  I can't get an external
midi usb controller working yet but onscreen keyboard works fine.  I connected an Adafruit USB audio adapter and
it recognised immediately, sounds great.  I get a lot of xruns on Yoshimi though, and have no problems with it on my
RPI 3.
Anybody else trying out audio programs?  What works, doesn't work?
