So I am new to Orange Pi and trying to get Armbian Jammy Lite completely up and working... and I have mostly working but WiFi is an issue. So if I try to connect to WiFi via NMTUI I cannot connect. It will not accept my WiFi password no matter what. If I edit interfaces and add the following:
source /etc/network/interfaces.d/*
# Network is managed by Network manager
auto lo
iface lo inet loopback
auto wlan0
iface wlan0 inet dhcp
wpa-ssid My-SSID
wpa-psk MYPASSWORD
auto eth0
iface eth0 inet dhcp
WiFi will work but it can take 3 to 5 minutes before it completely connects... to that point, wether I try to SSH in using the ethernet IP or the WiFi IP it rejects the connection. I am just trying to figure out what I am doing wrong and not getting anywhere so any help would be very much appreciated.
UPDATE!!! So I resolved the issue simply by reverting to Bullseye... Apparently something in WiFi is broken in the Jammy build. I have a new issue, however. I cannot boot from eMMC memory. I have followed the steps to copy the OS to eMMC memory but no matter what I do it will not boot.... It does boot fine from the SD card. What can I do to fix this?
So the issue does still exist and I have found that it is actually an issue with 5Ghz WiFi... If I turn off 5Ghz on my home router and only have 2.4Ghz enabled it connects without an issue.
Such problems can be really annoying, my advice is to stop trying sometimes and do something else, like playing a game, maybe you can play a game like basketball legends, you can try to solve the problem again when you feel relaxed.
