Before I send this back to AliExpress has anyone had the following problem

The only LED on the board which works is the red power status led.
I have tried 4 copying the raspian and ubuntu images to 4 different brand new TF cards and the only thing that happens is that the red LED is turned off and on by the power switch. No other LEDs light on the board nor the LEDs in the network socket. There is no HDMI, VGA or composite video either.

I know I am preparing the TF cards correctly as I have already got several Raspberry Pis in use.

I suspect that the board is dead and, as I have already raised the issue with the supplier on AliExpress but received no reply I will start a dispute next week

I shall now buy a BananaPi instead.

Masterice

connect the uart and see what happens. I 've got the same issue, but in console I see the device properly booting. problem is that my monitor does not support the hdmi resolutions provided.

mrroland,
thanks for the reply.

Connecting to the serial (uart) output via Hyperterminal (autodetect) I see nothing happening during boot so I suspect that it is a dead board.
