The HDMI-VGA battle

Hello Armbian users and developers! I loved your operational system, but I cannot win the battle with hdmi settings. Lone newbie warrior in the field asking for help.
Setup is OrangePi PC+, Armbian_5.38_Orangepipcplus_Ubuntu_xenial_default_3.4.113_desktop (legacy kernel), HDMI-VGA adapter


I have HDMI-VGA converter which works with my win laptop and old Sharp TV, also this adapter works with my OrangePiPC+ and 24" Iiyama computer monitor.


But cannot ignite this thing with Sharp TV! No way But on the other hand, adapter is 100% working with this TV (in case of laptop using)

Tried all modes of h3disp utility
The only thing I have get exept black screens and "out of range" messages is "pink screen" at 1024x768 mode. Only this resolution is recognized by TV, but the picture is whole pink, and no taskbar and desktop image. Just solid static pink.

Would you PLEASE help me setting up hdmi modes and bootscripts?

The reason for this is that "EDID" is turned on in these systems, and it overrides what we have provided
when it comes to identifying the monitor from the monitor resolution, no matter how we try.
We must obstruct this, let us not let them decide for us.A VGA-VGA Adpater should be between the
hdmi-vga adapter and the monitor where:

pin 4 - Id bit 2 omitted
pin 12 - ID bit 1 omitted
pin 15 - Id bit 3 omitted
Only the RGB signal (1,2,3), the RGB body (6,7,8) and the synchronous (13,14) wires are connected.
I also attached a drawing to it.

If it indicates a defective resolution then our monitor really does not know it.
In this case, the h3disp command can set the resolution of your monitor from the SSH terminal.

For example:
h3disp -m 31 (800x480)
h3disp -m 32 (1024x768)
h3disp -m 33 (1280x1024)
