Audio jack in Orange Pi / Orange Pi plus
Edited by gaara at 2015-7-16 15:22Hi guys owner of OPi / OPi +,
I hope your projects are progressing well, despite the difficulties...
My question is about the PJ connector, for audio (and video) with 3.5mm Jack.
I wonder why the sound quality is really poor (many noise) with Android. I think it's because my jack connector is 3 points, and if you can see the datasheet there are 4 points. So I think CVBS point is connected to HPCOM, and the sound is awfull (I can hear the mouse and the fan, also the SD read/write when the volume is high).
But when I look the real connector on the card, I see only 3 points. Where is the fourth?
So, does someone has succed to have a good sound with this jack ?
If not, I have seen this cheap I2S DAC: Audiophonics DAC Sabre ES9023
The quality lokks good, but I'm affraid of the compatibility with the Orange Pi... What do you think ? Edited by magicse at 2015-8-3 09:30
Orange Pi2 jack has only 4 pins connected
L R Audio
Video
Ground
Dear gaara, did you find a solution to noise?
I tried with a four ring plus, but it happens the same: a lot on noise that you can think the CPU working.
Thanks.
